This module aims to simplify the learning process for clinicians by providing an overview of the theoretical foundation of ICBT before they dive into the specific modules of the treatment.
This module introduces clients to the concept of obsessional doubt and the doubting sequence, a predictable thought process that occurs with OCD.
This module provides clients with the opportunity to identify and acknowledge all of the reasons they have for believing they should doubt what they know in the area of their obsession.
Module 3 looks at all of the "reasons" from module 2 and looks at how they weave together and form a convincing OCD Story.
This module introduces the core doubt that clients with OCD have about themselves and how this directs clients to doubt in particular areas in life.
Module 5 highlights the imaginary nature of OCD doubt and compares this with reasonable doubt to begin to reveal the reasoning problem at OCD's core.
Module 6 explores the criteria needed to make a doubt or possibility relevant, namely direct sensory evidence.
This module presents to the client the concept of the OCD Bubble, a state of imaginal absorption that those with OCD experience when they are fully immersed in the OCD Story.
This module introduces a core skill for overcoming obsessional doubt. Reality Sensing involves differentiating between what is occurring in reality from what is being imagined, and then learning to stay in reality.
Module 9 provides clients with the skills to begin to tell alternate stories that dislodge the rigid OCD Story from its pedestal.
Module 10 presents clients with a series of reasoning errors that are common with OCD.
This module provides clients with the framework to begin telling a "real-self story" that is distinct and more reality-based than the feared possible self.
Module 12 concludes the ICBT treatment with a final assessment of the client's OCD reasoning process and guidance for continuing success after treatment has concluded.
